Table alignment examples
No frame
The default width of the table component is auto. It's how a table aligns naturally in HTML.
| Rocket | Height | Payload to LEO | Stages |
|---|
| SpaceX Starship | 120 m | 150 t | 2 |
| NASA SLS Block 1 | 98 m | 95 t | 2 |
| Blue Origin New Glenn | 98 m | 45 t | 2 |
Inside frame: no align
Inside a frame, but without alignment it retains the natural alignment.
| Rocket | Height | Payload to LEO | Stages |
|---|
| SpaceX Starship | 120 m | 150 t | 2 |
| NASA SLS Block 1 | 98 m | 95 t | 2 |
| Blue Origin New Glenn | 98 m | 45 t | 2 |
This is a caption. How about a longer caption.
Inside frame: align=left
Natural HTML alignmnet is left, so left aligned tables appear the same way as if the align option was not specified.
Inside frame: align=center
| Rocket | Height | Payload to LEO | Stages |
|---|
| SpaceX Starship | 120 m | 150 t | 2 |
| NASA SLS Block 1 | 98 m | 95 t | 2 |
| Blue Origin New Glenn | 98 m | 45 t | 2 |
This is a caption. How about a longer caption.
Inside frame: align=right
| Rocket | Height | Payload to LEO | Stages |
|---|
| SpaceX Starship | 120 m | 150 t | 2 |
| NASA SLS Block 1 | 98 m | 95 t | 2 |
| Blue Origin New Glenn | 98 m | 45 t | 2 |
This is a caption. How about a longer caption.
Inside frame: align=stretch
To achieve a full width tableyou have to use align=stretch
| Rocket | Height | Payload to LEO | Stages |
|---|
| SpaceX Starship | 120 m | 150 t | 2 |
| NASA SLS Block 1 | 98 m | 95 t | 2 |
| Blue Origin New Glenn | 98 m | 45 t | 2 |
This is a caption. How about a longer caption.
Notes
For images the stretch option won't work yet, but it's highly unusual to try to strech images to parent container,
because they'd get blurry.
